Let’s Bring It—TOGETHER

Construction for the new forty-five-acre Cincinnati Riverfront Park is under way! It will be a park for the generations—a compelling recreational, entertainment and leisure resource for the entire Greater Cincinnati community. Its many and varied features—including fountains, walkways, gardens, event lawns, playgrounds and restaurants—will contribute to the emotional and physical health of its citizens; to the economic vitality of the region and to the exceptional quality of life and experience to be cultivated and enjoyed throughout the area.

Here’s What’s Happening!

LogosCincinnati Parks will oversee the planning, development and building of the park and subsequently sustain the Park as an enduring riverfront destination landmark. Construction of this destination park, located adjacent to The Banks development, is moving forward collaboratively but independently from the Banks project. The park will extend from the east at Great American Ballpark to Paul Brown Stadium—flanking the city’s beloved Roebling Suspension Bridge.

Riverfront Fusion to bring first live music to new Cincinnati Riverfront "Banks"Park

The first public concert will be held at the Cincinnati Riverfront Park (CRP) Schmidlapp Event Lawn on Thursday, May 26. The Riverfront Fusion event will follow the Women’s Committee of Cincinnati Riverfront Park fifth annual ‘Hats Off’ Luncheon which will also be held on the event lawn.
Riverfront Fusion will run from 5:30pm to 9pm and include four live bands from the Cincinnati region, and feature a variety of musical styles including Jazz, R&B, Rock and Salsa. Event organizers say Riverfront Fusion will be the first of many similar cultural events for which the CRP was designed to feature.
“The impact of this park to drive tourism, business, real estate values and regional health cannot be understated,” Debbie Oliver and Helen Heekin, co-founders of the Women’s Committee, said in a prepared release. “As more features in the park are completed over the next months, it will be clear that this park will become our city’s new front door.”
Organizers say that food and drink will be available for purchase from Montgomery Inn, and that music will be provided by Acapulco, Groove Doctor, Triage and Second Wind.

The Banks Project on Mehring Way & Main

Yesterday afternoon I got an exclusive look at the new Banks Project on Mehring Way & Main down across from the Red's Stadium. With an incredible location and parking for all it looks to be a win for the city of Cincinnati and all its residents. Dave Prather one of the project managers gave me a tour of the new event stage and I was very impressed, with a view that will silence any rowdy game crowd , also with water sculptures that dominate the entrance from Mehring way its easy to see now why they choose this great new location . We got in and out within minutes of the strong thunder storm although I wasn't saved from high winds and dust in the eyes it was worth it and I was able to snap some photo's for your viewing pleasure...

A stunning view of the Ohio  will meet all the crowds for events
