The Indians, the French , the Colonialists and the Pioneers all have at different times laid claim to the land we now call Cincinnati... the land of the Great Ohio river . The Gateway to the South and the West for well over 200 years its been the last stop before the western American Frontier.

Cincinnati's always been a river town this monument was erected to remember all those involved in the canalization of the Ohio a name given to the river by the Iroquois Indians meaning beautiful river. The river is still used widely today for interstate commerce.
Blossoms and bees the Queen cities in full bloom.
